Grimsby Telegraph
|April 16, 2025
A GRAND reunion of The Rumble Band will be held to mark the Grimsby band's 40th anniversary.
They will perform at The Beachcomber, in Cleethorpes, to celebrate the outstanding acclaim they have enjoyed nationwide, by keeping the spirit of soul music and Motown alive and kicking over more than four decades.
Tickets have gone on sale for the anniversary gig which will bring together many of the former band members, as well as the 13-piece present line-up.
Although formed in the Sixties, the band went on to have great success for a few years, touring throughout the UK and performing alongside the soul greats, Jimmy Ruffin and Edwin Starr and Ben E King.
After a few years packing out concert halls, the band broke up.
