Williams keeps nerve from spot to send City into the play-off final

GLOUCESTER City staged a remark able Southern League Premier South play-off semi-final comeback to defeat Walton & Hersham 5-3 on penalties.

After the score finished 2-2 after 120 minutes, City scored all five spot-kicks with Ed Williams stepping up to win the game for the Tigers.
Walton, who finished third in the regular season, took the lead after six minutes when Ralph Vigrass ran through the Tigers defence before his shot hit the left hand post, bouncing out to top-scorer Dawid Rogalski who couldn't miss.
City could have capitulated when the Swans made it two on 12 minutes, when Rogalski went from scorer to provider as he laid the ball off for Bobby-Joe Taylor to curl a fantastic effort into the top left corner.
Top scorer Joe Hanks reduced the deficit for City on the 20-minute mark after Elis Watts delivered a perfect cross for him to glance the ball into the bottom left corner.
