GLOUCESTER AC's young athletes were in action last weekend with Livvi Avery (Under-17, pictured) and Ruth Brook (Under-20) competing in the prestigious British Milers Club Grand Prix 1500m at Birmingham University.

In the same heat, they shared fourth to sixth spot for the first two laps before Avery used her strong finish to move through to fourth in a personal best of 4:37.27, while Brook was seventh with a season's best of 4:44.66.
