Puppy love Little Reef in need of care and support at rescue centre

A GERMAN Shepherd puppy with deformed leg and a large hernia arrived as part of a litter to a rescue centre and is still after his forever home. His sibling pack have found new homes however he has been left behind.

The gorgeous pup, who has been named Reef was taken to Cotswold Dogs and Cat Home (CDCH) as part of an unexpected litter from a home overwhelmed with too many animals. His only worry should be chasing leaves and curling up in warm laps, instead, he's fighting for his chance at life.

The team at CDCH watched him try to move, relying awkwardly on his remaining limbs, and it was clear that he'd need more than just love and patience. Reef is going to need expert care, and support to help him get better.

His severely deformed front leg, causes him constant pain and makes it almost impossible for him to walk and he has a large umbilical hernia that desperately needs surgery. The staff could only watch on as he would drag his tiny body across the floor when he first arrived to the shelter however it never crossed the teams mind to give up on the little fighter.
