Miles ahead George doubles his London Marathon fundraising goal

An emergency worker from Gloucestershire has smashed his charity fundraising target for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

George Medcalf took on the world famous London Marathon for the first time at the weekend and doubled the amount he had hoped to raise for his nominated charity.

George, from Gloucestershire, is an Emergency Care Assistant with the ambulance trust. He set an initial target to raise £2,000, but he has been overwhelmed by the generosity of friends, family, and supporters, and has instead raised an incredible £4,020 - all in support of the South Western Ambulance Charity as it celebrates its 30th anniversary year.
