International debut William puts in fine throws in first Wales match

GLOUCESTER AC's William Richards-Baldwin competed in his first international match for Wales on Sunday at the Pickering Memorial International in Loughborough.

Despite being aged only 15, he came fourth in the Under-18 discus, throwing an impressive 45.43m.

Two of Gloucester’s top sprinters, Dylan Bhatti and James Arminio, made their way to the Be Fit Today Track Academy open in Lee Valley, North London on Sunday and exchanged a series of PBs and club records in the 100m.

Current Gloucester AC Under-20 record holder Bhatti, and Arminio, started strongly as Arminio threw the first punch, setting a personal best of 10.65 seconds and taking the club record and Bhatti, after a bit of a layoff, came out with a season best of 10.72 seconds, .04 of a second off his best.

Arminio then bettered his PB in round two with 10.64, but Bhatti came out flying and ran a personal best of 10.58 to finish the day on top and reclaim the club record.

The boys are 0.14 and 0.08 seconds off European Under-20 qualification.
