May 08, 2025

GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S women suffered defeats against Glamorgan in the T20 Women’s County Cup and the 50-over Metro Bank One Day Cup.

In the T20 at Newport on Sunday, Bea Ellis hit 77 not out for Glamorgan and skipper Lauren Parfitt made 59 not out in the Welsh side’s 183-4, Charlotte Phillips taking 3-21 in her four overs for Gloucestershire.

Izzy Patel’s 46 not out anchored the Gloucestershire reply, but they reached 150-5, going down by 33 runs.

That loss followed a 227-run defeat in the 50-over game on Saturday as Gloucestershire were dismissed for 77 after Glamorgan made 304-8.

Bethan Gammon hit an unbeaten 129 and Daisy Jeanes 59, Patel finishing with 4-39 from her 10 overs, then Gemma Porter took 3-14 as Gloucestershire subsided, with three players making double figures.
