Ather Energy IPO Scrapes Through with Last-Minute Institutional Push; Grey Market Sentiment Remains Tepid

Ather Energy’s ₹3,000-crore initial public offering (IPO) managed to cross the subscription finish line on its final day, thanks to a late surge in demand from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), even as overall market sentiment remained subdued.

The IPO, which includes a ₹2,626-crore fresh issue and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 2.2 crore equity shares by existing stakeholders, saw retail investors leading from the front, subscribing 1.55 times their quota. QIBs followed suit with a sharp uptick on the final day, subscribing 1.33 times their allocation.
