Shining a light

This past fortnight we had the delight of revealing the shortlist for the 2025 FS Power50.
As with every year, we spent days going over the nominations, toing and froing over who should and shouldn’t be there. Of course, there’s always some easy cuts to make. Three sentence nomination? A history of licensee hopping? No publicly available information to speak of? Snip snip.
We've been presenting the annual Power50 for well over a decade now and, as with anything that recurs over time, it’s evolved. What started out as a means of recognising advisers who were making the most of social media to scale their business and educate clients has become about so much more. In many ways, it’s a natural progression, but it’s also by design. At Financial Standard, we're committed to ensuring we produce a list each year that we can stand behind.
