'Fall in registered investment advisor number concerning'

SEBI WORKING ON A PENALTY STRUCTURE, SAYS PANDEY
SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE Board of India (Sebi) Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey on Monday expressed concerns over the decline in the number of registered investment advisors (RIAs).
The number of RIAs has fallen from close to 1,300 in March 2023 to around 1,000 as of March 2026, he said at an event organised by the Association of Registered Investment Advisors. Out of the 1,000, 470 RIAs are individuals while the remaining 530 are institutional.
