Car sales surge 19% in Nov on robust demand

THE DOMESTIC AUTOMOBILE industry delivered its strongest-ever November performance as festive demand and the GST rate cuts powered double-digit gains across passenger vehicles (PVs), two-wheelers and three-wheelers, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said.
Domestic PV dispatches from manufacturers to dealerships rose 19% year-on-year (YoY) to 4,12,405 units in November, against 3,47,522 units in the same month last year.
