Tesla Steps Up Hiring Ahead of India Launch

TESLA HAS STEPPED up its hiring for consumer-facing roles in India, in a sign that it may be speeding up its plans to open retail stores in the country.

In the last one month, the Austin-based EV major has invited applications for at least 24 posts for roles like advisor, consumer engagement specialist, service manager, security specialist, sales manager, and store manager. The postings have been made on the social media platform LinkedIn.

It has also invited applications for a vehicle operator in Mumbai and Delhi to test the company's prototypes for features like autopilot.
