SIP Inflows in May Hit Fresh Record of ₹26,688 Crore

FLOWS INTO SYSTEMATIC investment plans (SIPs) hit an all-time high of ₹26,688.22 crore in May with 85.6 million contributing accounts, data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) showed on Tuesday.
"The growth of SIPs is particularly encouraging, indicating a shift towards disciplined, long-term investment," said Venkat Nageswar Chalasani, CEO at Amfi.
Net inflows into open-ended schemes significantly fell to ₹29,572.98 crore, compared with ₹2.78 lakh crore in April, due to net outflows of ₹15,908.48 crore from debt funds and with infusions into equity falling to more than a one-year low.
