Govt for reduced pvt role in seed pricing

AGRICULTURE MINISTER SHIVRAJ Singh Chouhan on Monday asked state-owned National Seeds Corporation (NSC) to prepare a roadmap to increase its share to 25% from the current level of 4% in the domestic seed market.
He assured farmers that the government would further strengthen NSC to reduce the influence of private sector seed companies, for maintaining price stability in the seed market.
