Banks report strong growth in Q4 advances, deposits

HDFC BANK, BANK of Baroda, Bank of India and IDFC First Bank have reported strong growth in advances and deposits for the fourth quarter of 2024-25, according to the provisional business updates.
HDFC Bank's deposits grew at a higher rate than deposits. The bank's deposits rose 14.1% y-o-y to ₹27.15 lakh crore as of March 31, 2025. Its gross advances grew 5.4% y-o-y to ₹26.43 lakh crore. CASA deposits were at ₹9.5 lakh crore, a growth of around 3.9% over the year-ago period.
