Huge returns for premature gold bond redemption

THE RESERVE BANK of India (RBI)'s premature redemption price for the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2020-21 Series-I for Tuesday at %12,198 per gram could yield around 166% returns to investors for holding the securities a little over five years.

The issue price for the gold bond was %4,589/gram.
