Monsoon revives, to reach north India soon

Rain deficit in first half of June to be erased
WITH THE REVIVAL of the southwest monsoon (June-September) a week ago after stalling for nearly a fortnight, rainfall is now back on track and is expected to reach northern regions in the coming days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.
"Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon over remaining parts of north Arabian Sea, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu during next two days," the IMD stated.
