Exploited travellers taken for fools by airports and airlines

ARE you looking forward to the summer holidays?
-
If you're lucky enough to be going abroad in search of some sun, don't be surprised if your flight is delayed, no matter which UK airport you happen to be travelling from.
Depressing data from the Civil Aviation Authority showed the average flight delay to be around 18 minutes last year, and while some flights will depart on time, many more will not.
And the frequency of delays, it transpires, does not directly correspond to the size of the airport. One might expect the chance of a delay is much higher at larger airports, such as London Heathrow, than it would be at much smaller local or regional sites including Exeter.
