MORE than 160 producers, hospitality businesses, retailers, academics and food sector professionals from across the South West came together for the inaugural Gather summit - a new event aimed at championing the region's food and drink economy.
The one-day summit, hosted at The Forum at the University of Exeter on June 11, was spearheaded by Food Drink Devon in collaboration with the University of Exeter.
It featured keynote talks, networking opportunities and a producer showcase highlighting some of the best the region has to offer.
The programme included talks from David Edwards of the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, BBC Gardeners' World presenter Toby Buckland and Claire Burnet, co-founder of the premium chocolate brand Chococo.
Workshops focused on marketing, branding, sustainability, innovation and business growth.
