Koepka puts the pain behind him to secure Major title No5

BROOKS KOEPKA'S comeback from a career-threatening knee injury is complete, thanks to a fifth Major title secured in unflinching style at the US PGA Championship at Oak Hill

Koepka struck the first blow for the rebel tour LIV Golf League, as the first star to claim a Major while competing in the Saudi-backed breakaway. The 33-year-old banished the demons that led him to concede he had "choked" in the Masters final round six weeks ago.
Koepka's injury woes started in 2019 with a torn patella tendon, which quickly led to hip trouble a year later.
But in March 2021, Koepka slipped at home, dislocated his kneecap, tried to slot it back into place and shredded multiple ligaments.
