House sparkles to raise charity cash

- ROBERT MITCHELL

East Kilbride's biggest Christmas fan is once again lighting up her home for charity this festive season.

Ruth Moore is raising cash for East Kilbride and District Dementia Carers Group and Greenhill School.

And people have been flocking to her Bosfield Place home in East Mains to see the Winter Wonderland.

Ruth, 54, said: “It's really heartwarming, if I can just make one person happy, that’s it for me and my husband James.” And she added: “I've got three girls, when I was younger with them I used to drive around and look for the houses, so having it in my house now is great and seeing everybody driving by and putting a wee penny in and taking a wee sweetie, it’s just so lovely,”

Each year, Ruth illuminates her home for a good local cause.
