Hospital's Christmas switch on

Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary has been lit up for Christmas.

Crowds gathered to welcome Christmas to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary

A beautifully lit Christmas Tree now stand proudly outside the main hospital entrance after the switch-on celebrations and will shone out over the festive season for stall, patients and visitors.

It was a special moment for a young patient and her family who were given the honour of switching on the lights.

Laura Jayne Hannah and her family travelled from Stranraer for the occasion after it was decided that she would have the honours this year - the eighth since the DGRI opened on the site.
