The movie they’re dying to make might just get them killed in new action adventure comedy ANACONDA (12A) which screens at the Annan Lonsdale Cinema tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday at 5.45pm and 8.15pm, Sunday and Wednesday at 5.45pm.
Doug (played by Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favourite movie - the cinematic “classic” Anaconda.
When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming.
But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears - turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new ZOOTROPOLIS 2 (PG) is proving popular this Christmas with screenings at both the Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre in Dumfries (tomorrow and Sunday at 11am; Monday and Tuesday at 10.30am; Wednesday at 11.30am) and the Annan Lonsdale (tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday at 11am; Sunday and Wednesday at 12.45pm).
Detectives Judy Hopps (played by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile.
It has arrived in Zootropolis and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, rabbit cop Judy and fox Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
WICKED: FOR GOOD (PG) with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande is also screening at both cinemas this week.
Following the phenomenal success of the first feature film adaptation of the Broadway musical, this is the second by director Jon M. Chu.
