Accolade for school's Holocaust delegates

Key roles Dumfries Academy's new Holocaust Education Ambassadors have been chosen.

Dumfries Academy's new Holocaust Education Ambassadors have received certificates of achievement.

Rohan Saji, Teigan Weir, Matilda Vaughan and Abbie Bunting all applied to be ambassadors and were selected through the strength of their applications.

Teigan and Matilda will represent Dumfries Academy on the Lessons From Auschwitz.

A spokesperson for Dumfries Academy said: "They will visit Poland in November and, along with Abbie and Rohan, will complete a project and seminars for the school community.

"The four pupils will also represent the school in the lead up to the Holocaust Remembrance Day in January.

"Well done to all four of our ambassadors."
