Our first year was full of achievements - but there is much more for us to do

On July 5, 2024, Labour will celebrate its first year in office.

In that time, we have achieved a great deal - from raising the national minimum wage to taking the first steps toward fixing the NHS by restoring spending to its highest level since 2010, training new police officers, investing and rebuilding our armed forces, and bringing inflation and interest rates down - the list goes on.

It's hard to believe that a year has already passed since I was elected to represent the people of Dover and Deal in Parliament. I feel honoured every day to serve our community, and I want to take a moment to reflect on what we've achieved together in this first year and where we're heading.
