CLARKE SHOWN RED IN CLOSING STAGES BUT VISITORS HOLD ON FOR VICTORY

- By LEIGH CURTIS

DERBY County held on for a 2-1 away win against Charlton Athletic in the Championship last night.

A first-half Macaulay Gillesphey own goal and a second-half Bobby Clark strike gave the Rams a 2-0 lead at The Valley but Tyreece Campbell pulled one back for the Addicks in the 67th minute.

Rams defender Matt Clarke was sent off for a second bookable offence with five minutes remaining but the visitors stood strong to make it two away wins in a row.

The Rams had to make a late change to their starting lineup as keeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom couldn't feature due to illness, so Richard O’Donnell took over to make his debut.
