Gary: Half-time changes helped Albion to dig deep

GARY Bowyer hailed the impact made by Tyrese Shade and all of Burton Albion's halftime substitutes after the Brewers secured a 1-1 draw away to Doncaster Rovers.

Shade scored his first goal for Albion and might have had a couple more as Burton put a listless first-half performance behind them to take the game to Rovers in the second half.

So good were Burton after the break that they caught Doncaster up for goal attempts - 15 each - and finished the game looking the more likely winners.

Bowyer was not happy with the first-half display, although he admitted it might have been partly caused by the huge efforts put in to win away to Cardiff City in midweek.

"The first half, with how passive we were, we'd have taken the point at halftime," said Bowyer.
