Eustace hails Rams defence after taking the fifth on Rovers return

JOHN Eustace praised Derby County for their defensive resilience as they made it five successive wins in the Championship with victory over his old club Blackburn Rovers.
The Rams secured a 2-1 win at Ewood Park as Eustace savoured all three points on his first return to Rovers since leaving for Pride Park in February.
Carlton Morris’ 10th goal of the season put them in front, and Patrick Agyemang’s goal before the break made it two.
Yuki Ohashi pulled a goal back for the hosts after Dion Sanderson was adjudged to have fouled the Rovers forward.
But Derby produced another battling performance to secure the win, which lifted them to eighth in the table ahead of this afternoon’s games.
“We obviously found a way to win,” he said. “I thought the first half we were excellent and very professional with the way we went about our business.
“The second half started pretty slowly for both teams.
“It was a bit dead, and a lack of concentration, allied with a lack of doing the right things for us, just gave them an opportunity.
