'Disappointment' at university as staff set to strike over three days

NEGOTIATIONS HOPE TO BRING A RESOLUTION BEFORE ACTION
THE University of Derby has said it is “disappointed” that its staff will be striking next month, as the University and College Union (UCU) continues to call on its management to “enter negotiations to stop the strike”.
The UCU has announced its members intend to take strike action on Tuesday, December 2, Wednesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 4.
In a ballot, 82 per cent of those that took part voted for strike action, with 93 per cent backing action short of a strike (ASOS), on a 66 per cent turnout.
