IT'S A CASE OF 'WAIT AND SEE' REGARDING FUTURE OF DEFENDER
DERBY County head coach John Eustace has praised Dion Sanderson’s impact but said it's a case of “wait and see” as to whether the Rams could sign him permanently.
Sanderson has been in sensational form since signing on loan from Birmingham City in the summer and has become a key figure in the heart of the Rams’ defence.
After a tough couple of seasons at Birmingham and Blackburn Rovers, the 25-year-old looks to be enjoying his football again and he was excellent again against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Eustace has signed Sanderson on three occasions at Birmingham, Blackburn and now Derby. He also worked with him at Queens Park Rangers.
And asked whether a happy player is a good player, Eustace said: "Absolutely. If the player has the trust of the manager and knows how to get the best out of him, I think that’s all players want.
“I've been very honest with Dion over the years in my views on him. I took him to Blackburn last year and unfortunately we were doing very well and he couldn't get into the team.
