|January 14, 2026
DOZENS of schools across Derbyshire are set to benefit from a £4.5 million funding boost issued by the council.
-
The cash injection, coming from Derbyshire County Council, will be shared among 18 schools and go towards the cost of creating more space and making the learning environment better for students.
The schools will use the money to go towards ongoing or new projects to modernise or expand following decisions made by the Cabinet.
Councillors agreed to allocate £3.1 million from the Children's Services Capital Budget to ten schools to improve the condition of buildings including roofing, new windows, boilers or rewiring.
