Bates blow as Derby have to shuffle again

DERBY will have to make more changes for their home game against Stockport in Regional 1 North West tomorrow (3pm).

Jack Bates is the latest casualty after suffering an injury in last weekend's away defeat against Wirral, while Derby are waiting to see if Sam Tebbs will be fit enough to play.

"Unfortunately, we lost Jack Bates against Wirral," said Derby head coach Liam Slatem.

"That's a massive loss for us. He's a stalwart and has played almost 80 minutes in most games, playing as hooker, but he's damaged his AC joint pretty badly.

"It looked quite serious, so unfortunately he'll be out for a while.

"Andrew Harriott, who has been playing back row, should come in at hooker instead of Jack.

"Then there's a question mark over Sam Tebbs because of his hand injury.
