YOUNG MOM KILLED

A BELOVED daughter and mother of a three-year-old meisie was shot dead in Bonteheuwel on Saturday in what is believed to be a planned hit after she got a call to meet someone in the area.

Tharwah Bazier, 26, was shot in the back of her head around 5.40pm, with police spokesperson Wesley Twigg explaining: “A female was shot and fatally wounded near a supermarket in Jakkalsvlei Avenue, Bonteheuwel.

“According to reports the victim was walking in the road when a male walked up to her and shot her.

“The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back of her head and was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.”

Motive

Twigg added that the suspect fled the scene and is yet to be arrested, while the motive for the incident forms part of the police investigation.
