Cops and Steenberg residents on lookout for white Kia truck allegedly doing 'drive-by hits'

STEENBERG residents are living in fear, with a ‘killer’ in a white Kia truck reportedly on the loose in the neighbourhood.

On Monday, around 12.05pm, cops responded to an incident in Choir Street where two men, aged 22 and 24, were shot dead and while that scene was still active, two more men – aged 35 and 39 - were shot and wounded in The Oaks.

According to reports, occupants of a white Kia truck were involved in both shootings.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg says that the motive for the shootings is believed to be gang-related.

Steenberg police have also already registered two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
