JAN-HENDRIK Wessels' versatility for the Bulls against Bayonne at the weekend was impressive, but does that mean he can put his hand up to play at fullback in Saturday's Challenge Cup quarter-final in Edinburgh?

The 23-year-old front-rower picked up a Bayonne grubber just before his own 10-metre line. Wessels faked a pass to flyhalf Keagan Johannes and then performed a kwaai manoeuvre for a player of his size (1.93m, 120kg).

Instead of charging into defenders, he attacked space, running past the halfway line before being tackled.
