'Prince of Darkness' Osbourne dies weeks after farewell concert

While he was hailed for his massive influence on the hard rock music genre, he also gained mainstream popularity with his hit reality show The Osbournes, which ran from 2002 to 2005.

Tributes poured in online, with one fan posting: “RIP Ozzy Osbourne #Ozzy,” and another writing, “Rip Ozzy, condolences to the Osbornes.”

Musical legend Sir Elton John said Ozzy was a “huge trailblazer” who “secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods”.
