JULIUS Malema has been found guilty of hate speech by the Equality Court.

- BY CHEVON BOOYSEN

The court ruled yesterday that remarks made by the EFF leader in relation to a 2020 incident at Brackenfell High School constituted hate speech, and it demonstrated a clear intention to incite harm and promote or propagate hatred.

The remarks referred to were made by Malema during the EFF's Provincial Peoples Assembly, which was held in the Western Cape on 16 October 2022.
