Manenberg crime fighters say the ongoing gang-related violence has rukked hand uit

MANENBERG mense fear more bloodshed as gun violence and klipgooiery continue to rock the community.

This follows a murder in broad daylight on Gouritz Road on Wednesday, with crime fighters warning that the area's violence is spiralling out of control.

According to reports, a 40-year-old man was gunned down in the street by two assailants while talking to woman.

The man was allegedly a gang member, sparking fears that the shooting will trigger another round of retaliation.

Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed the shooting, saying: "On Wednesday at about 7.02am, SAPS members attended to a shooting incident at Gouritz Road, Manenberg.
