Wheelchair-bound alleged gang member shot dead in Eastridge

GUN violence in Mitchells Plain continues to ruk hand uit after an alleged wheelchair-bound gangster was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon.

The community of Eastridge are reeling in shock after a 46-year-old man in a wheel-chair was shot multiple times in the head and body.

A picture of the scene has been making the rounds online as his lifeless body lays covered with a blanket on the corner of Stag and Klipspringer Roads and his wheelchair situated not far from his lifeless body as onlookers surround him.

Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said that the circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.
