Headshot victim recovering after being caught up in gang crossfire

- BY MARSHA DEAN

FOUR people were shot and wounded, including one in the head, on Saturday night as gangsters opened fire near a winkel in Hanover Park.

According to the local Community Police Forum spokesperson Kashiefa Mohammed, the victims were caught in the crossfire as they stood by the shop.

Three of the victims, including a 14-year-old boy and his oupa, were rushed to hospital in private transport for various injuries - the boy was hit in the leg, the grand-father was hit in the hand, while the third sustained an undisclosed wound.

The fourth, a 19-year-old male, was hit in the head and treated on the scene and is said to be recovering.
