BOXING hero Ricky Hatton is set to be immortalised with a statue thanks to the Daily Star, as we revealed yesterday. Council bosses have now backed plans for a sculpture honouring the star, after his death aged 46. It's set to join other statues of the nation's top sporting heroes, dotted across the country.
