Aribo slams shocking Saints as season hits new low

JOE ARIBO admits Southampton’s sorry season has left him feeling “embarrassed”.

Even boss Ivan Juric conceded the Saints were marching down after this ninth straight home loss.

Southampton have just nine points this term and are 17 points from safety.

And now their main aim appears to be trying to beat Derby's worst ever Premier League points total of 11 set in 2007-08.

Former Rangers midfielder Aribo (in action, right) said: “Personally, it is embarrassing.

“We play football to win. I'm a winner, it's just a difficult time with what is going on with the results.

“The boys need to sit together, we need to work hard, take every game as it comes and look forward.

“We have another chance after the break to win a game and that's what we have to do. Of course you are going to be thinking about the record points low and having pride.
