Trinity star Trueman stirred after KO hell

JAKE TRUEMAN is "desperate" to put his injury torment behind him, and a Castleford reunion at Wakefield could be the perfect tonic.

The skilful stand-off is one of Trinity's key signings as they head back into Super League after 12 months in the Championship.

Released from the final season of a three-year deal at Hull to make the move, he has a point to prove.

But having endured serious campaign-ending ACL and Achilles injuries in 2022 and 2023, and then seeing a calf issue cut short last season, Trueman is in dire need of a change of luck.

He admitted: "I'm desperate for an injury-free season this year. I need it. I need a good season.
