TAA and Salah earn a plucky draw
-
THIS could prove to be the biggest seven days of Liverpool's season.
And Mo Salah is on a one-man crusade to keep the Reds on track.
Liverpool's Egyptian king scored, provided an assist and ensured Arne Slot's men did not leave Villa Park empty-handed.
You could look at it as two points dropped and a bit of a wobble as the league leaders were held at Everton a week ago, struggled to a hard-fought win against Wolves and were below par at Aston Villa.
They have got Manchester City up next on Sunday and then Newcastle three days later in what must be the biggest test of their title challenge in what has otherwise been a steady march to glory. Arsenal can even cut the gap to five points if they beat West Ham on Saturday, but it is hard to see anyone eclipsing Salah in this sort of form.
He opened the scoring and even when Aston Villa turned the game on its head before half-time, Salah set up Trent Alexander-Arnold's deflected shot to snatch a point.
