For ancient Brits, Midsummer's Eve was an unmissable party.

They would gather to dance around stone circles a form of sun worship later claimed to have links to the devil. According to legend, if you go to Broadwater, West Sussex, tonight, you might see a gang of skeletons rise from the ground and dance around an oak tree until dawn. You could even raise Satan himself by jogging seven times backwards around Chanctonbury Ring, a nearby prehistoric hill fort.
