Ant big fan of Three Lions rival Rashford

ANTHONY GORDON has described his main rival for an England starting place as “unbelievable” and given a fascinating insight into a player who has divided opinion in recent years.

Thomas Tuchel has always been a fan of Marcus Rashford but gave Gordon the nod for the 5-0 win in Serbia last month.

But Rashford did score a late penalty in that stunning victory in Belgrade, having replaced Gordon midway through the second half.

And Gordon, 24, has nothing but admiration for the Manchester United attacker, currently on loan at Barcelona.

“His mindset is unbelievable. People have written him off and he’s been through so much over the past couple of years,” said the Newcastle star.

“To get back to these levels...people will never understand how hard that is to do. He deserves a lot of credit.
