ENGLAND'S batsmen have been warming up for today's crucial showdown with South Africa by putting as many cricket balls as they can into the Mumbai stands.

And while most of them were successful, captain Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone sent the ball higher, further and longer than their team-mates.

Unlike their rugby counterparts in France where the result is everything, there is still room in India for England to put performance first and foremost.

Most of the players realise they might win the odd game by playing the percentages, but to win a tournament requires total commitment to an attacking approach.

With England pitting their wits against the same nation in two vital world sporting events, some are cheekily calling in 'Saffaday!
