Rory wants epic Europe show to live in memory

RORY MCILROY has claimed the fallout over US fan behaviour at the Ryder Cup has overshadowed Team Europe's "incredible performance".

The MC on the first tee resigned after encouraging vulgar chanting - and the president of the PGA of America personally apologised to McIlroy and his wife Erica after the dramatic 15-13 win.

The American had beer thrown on her during a mad Saturday afternoon, where police dogs were deployed on the course.
