Rory feels rested and recharged

RORY MCILROY hopes going into hiding for a couple of weeks has helped him recharge as he prepares for the Scottish Open.

The Masters champion has taken a break since finishing in a tie for sixth at the Travelers Championship last month, which saw a welcome upturn in form following a testing run since his Augusta triumph.

He returns with the Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club before next week’s Open.

Mcllroy said: “I got over to this side of the Atlantic a couple weeks ago trying to get settled into our new place down in Wentworth.
