McGree back to haunt old club

RILEY MCGREE returned to former club Birmingham and left them looking over their shoulder at the relegation zone.

McGree provided the platform for Middlesbrough's third win in a row with a stunning 17th-minute strike.

But Birmingham remain just one point clear of the bottom three, without a win in five games.

With Tony Mowbray away from the club while he has medical treatment, interim boss Mark Venus has the task of steering Birmingham away from danger.

But there were few signs of that happening here.
